Final production

This is my final production for my A2 music video to the track of Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Rey. After weeks of editing and tweaking things I am now happy with how my production is looking and satisfied it is complete.

Ancillary text- website

As part of the brief for the A2 music video production an option for an ancillary text to create a website homepage for the artist, which is what I have now done. The most important part of the website was to keep the themes of the video running onto the homepage. I also had to think about what would go on a standard artists website. Information on the upcoming performances and details about how to follow them on social media. Further analysis of this ancillary text can be given in the upcoming evaluation questions.

2nd ancillary text -DVD cover

This is my second ancillary text, a DVD cover that links in to my main production. I created mine using Publisher and am happy with the outcome. I feel it covers all the main features and combines well with my main task.

This is a directors commentary answering question 1 of the evaluation. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Evaluation 2- how effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

To answer question 2 of my evaluation I used the style of an audio podcast, which I hadn't tried before. I found this method effective for what I wanted to achieve and would consider it if evaluating like this again in the future.

Evaluation question 3- What have I learned from my audience feedback?

This video is in response to evaluation question 3 which is regarding the audience feedback I received and what I have learned from it. I used Smart surveys for my questionnaires which you may have seen in a previous post.

This is my response to question 4 of the A2 evaluation- How did you use new media techniques in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? This was answered in the style of a powerpoint and takes you through all stages in the production process. It explains the use of new media technologies in each section.
